The wisdom and beauty of the Panchatantra folktales of Indian mythology have often been compared to Aesop's fables and are still widely read and narrated in several countries of South Asia. Tales Of Panchatantra, a two-disc home movie directed by Salma Sultan, is a remarkable attempt to bring some of these tales alive on the screen. The made-for-home video compilation contains 13 insightful and memorable stories from the Panchatantra, with Mohan Mahshi, Vikram Gokhale and Amzad Khan in lead roles. The narration has been done by Sharmila Tagore. These stories are excellent models to teach young children and students the art of righteous living and wisdom in everyday life.

The Panchatantra itself was created as a handbook of knowledge and wisdom to ancient kings and princes. Dating back to the BCs, a scholar named Vishnu Sharma compiled these texts to educate and illuminate the sons of the Emperor of Mahilaropya in India. The first disc contains movies based on stories like Vyakhyan, Pun Murshika, Jaise Ko Taisa and Niyat Me Khot. The second disc features tales like Nakalachi Ka Harsh, Dhan Ki Lalsa, Lalch Buri Bala and Paudhi Ka Dhyan.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
