Saath Saath is a simple love story which does not only portray the mushiness, but it also talks about the differences that starts creeping into their relationship when a couple faces the real world. It narrates the practical love story of a middle class family starring Farooq Sheikh as Avinash Verma and Deepti Naval as Gitanjali Gupta in the leading roles. The lyrics of the timeless ghazals by Javed Akhtar coupled with the soulful music composed by Kuldeep Singh enhances the appeal of the movie altogether.

The video DVD of director Raman Kumar's movie Saath Saath(1982) has been released by Shemaroo in Hindi with English subtitles. The total length of the film is two hours. Other casts in the movie include Satish Shah, Sudha Chopra and Iftekhar.

The realistic love story begins in the college when Geeta is impressed with the ideals of Avinash, a part-time writer and a socialist. Soon it turns into a love affair which is highly opposed by Deepti's father but she stands by her decision and they eventually end up getting married but then a time comes when Avinash forgets all his ideologies and morals. He starts running after money. Geeta is surprised and upset by this sudden change in his behaviour. This leads her to take the decision of leaving their house.

The amazing part of this movie is how both Farooq and Deepti effortlessly get into the skin of their characters. The transition of Avinash is reflected very realistically. The movie highlights the fact that when you are in love with someone, it is not only the outer beauty that you fall for but also it is the nature and character of the person that attracts you and, the relationship is successful only if both think in the same direction.

The soft romantic songs like ‘Tumko Dekha To Yeh Khayal Aaya' and ‘Yeh Tera Ghar, Yeh Mera Ghar' by Jagjit and Chitra Singh add a spark to the plot. So, for all those who love watching inspiring and meaningful movies but have missed out on this masterpiece, should immediately buy Saath Saath DVD.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
