The story of the film revolves around Nandini, a girl belonging to a traditional Indian family, whose father is a well known classical musician. Sameer, an Indo-Italian boy, makes his entry into the household in a quest to learn the intricacies of Indian classic music from the maestro himself. Sameer and Nandini face an initial dislike for each other and continue playing pranks on each other till the time they find themselves inevitably in love with each other.

The knowledge of their young affair disrupts the peace of the conservative household. The senior musician quits singing and the lover boy is asked to leave the household, while the girl is unwillingly married to another boy, Vanraj, who already was in love with Nandini, through an arranged set up. Later on, Vanraj notices the unwillingness of Nandini in the alliance and demands the reason for such disinterest. He promises Nandini that he will help her get whatever it is that she wants in her life. Soon the knowledge of Nandini's former love interest dawns on him and after a lot of struggle he arranges for both of them to go to Italy, so that Nandini can meet her lover and they both can spend a life of happiness together.

Gifts
